Q: How does one delete cookies?
A: It really depends on your browser and the computer you use. Here are some techniques taken from Western Libraries:
To delete cookies for Internet Explorer 5.x and up
[1] Click Tools from the Internet Explorer menu bar.
[2] Click Internet Options...
[3] Click the General Tab.
[4] Click the Delete Cookies button in the Temporary Internet files section.
[5] If you still have a problem, repeat the steps above and restart the computer.
To delete cookies for Netscape 6.x
[1] Click Tasks from the Netscape menu bar.
[2] Click Privacy & Security from the Tasks menu.
[3] Click Cookie Manager.
[4] Click View Stored Cookies.
[5] Click the Remove All Cookies button from the Stored cookies tab on the pop-up window.
To delete cookies for Netscape 7.x
[1] Click Tools from the Netscape menu bar.
[2] Click Cookie Manager from the Tools menu.
[3] Click Managed Stored Cookies.
[4] Click the Remove All Cookies button from the Stored cookies tab on the pop-up window.
To delete cookies for Mozilla 1.x and up
[1] Click Tools from the Mozilla menu bar.
[2] Click Cookie Manager from the Tools menu.
[3] Click Managed Stored Cookies.
[4] Click the Remove All Cookies button from the Stored cookies tab on the pop-up window.
To delete cookies in Opera
[1] Click File from the Opera menu bar.
[2] Click Delete private data from the File menu.
[3] Select Delete all cookies from the pop-up window.
[4] Click OK to delete cookies and close the pop-up window.
To delete cookies in Safari
[1] Click Preferences from the Safari menu bar.
[2] From the Security tab, click Show Cookies.
[3] Click Remove All to delete the cookies.
